Matthew Priddy, M.D.
Dr. Priddy is board certified in family medicine and is proud to serve as President for the American Academy of Private Physicians (AAPP), where he has held a seat on the Board of Directors since 2012. He completed his training at the IU School of Medicine and his residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, serving as Chief Resident his final year. A second-generation physician, Dr. Priddy is passionate about the positive outcomes empowered by personalized medicine and the degree of improved patient service that is offered by direct care practice models. He and his wife, Dr. Jen Priddy, live in Carmel and enjoy good food, travel, supporting the local arts, and entertaining friends.
S. Craig Veatch, M.D.
Dr. Veatch is board certified in internal medicine and received his doctor of medicine degree from IU. After graduating from the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, he completed a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Central Indiana Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Muncie, IN. He is trained in adult medicine and the non-operative care of musculoskeletal and athletic injuries (including concussion testing), as well as sports nutrition and exercise fitness/prescription. Dr. Veatch shares the conviction of his partners in supporting the direct practice model. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two sons, and devotes himself to hobbies that include community involvement and volunteerism, running, and travel.
Shelagh Fraser, M.D.
Dr. Fraser is board certified in internal medicine. She attended Yale University where she received both her undergraduate degree in philosophy and her doctor of medicine degree. Dr. Fraser completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington, and served as chief medical resident at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. She also completed a fellowship in Internal Medicine at the Regenstrief Institute of the IU School of Medicine. Dr. Fraser has proudly practice direct care medicine in Indiana for more than a decade, and lives in Indianapolis with her husband, Dr. Stephen Fraser, and their three children. Apart from spending time with her family, Dr. Fraser enjoys reading, running, and involvement with local community programs.
Emily Szewczyk, M.D.
Dr. Szewczyk is board certified in family medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from Purdue University with a year of training in the St. Francis School of Medical Technology. She completed her doctor of medicine degree at IU in 2001 and continued her training in family medicine at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. Szewczyk went on to practice with the St. Vincent Physician Network until 2010, when her personal and professional convictions brought her to Priority Physicians and the world of direct care medicine. “Practicing in this model has allowed me to find the joy in medicine again,” says Dr. Szewczyk. She and her husband live with their three children in Westfield, where she is active with hobbies ranging from photography to travel and personal fitness.
Jonathan P. Schmidt, M.D.
Dr. Jonathan P. Schmidt is a board certified physician in family medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Southern Illinois University and went on to receive his doctor of medicine degree from University of Illinois. Upon graduation, Dr. Schmidt moved to South Bend, Ind., where he completed his family medicine residency at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, serving as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Schmidt sought out experience in direct practice medicine during his residency and is excited to be practicing in a way that allows him to put the needs of his patients first. In his free time, Dr. Schmidt enjoys spending time with his wife Cristal and son Kiptyn. He also enjoys being outdoors and participating in water sport activities.

Joe Rizzuto – Chief Operating Officer
Joe is a native of Carmel, IN, and a graduate of Indiana University, from which he holds bachelors’ degrees in both Psychology and Marketing. Joe brings more than a decade of Fortune 100 experience to our team after working as a senior executive for Target Corporation before joining Priority Physicians in 2010. As Chief Operating Officer, Joe builds and implements the strategies that support our corporate operational, financial, and business development goals. Joe lives in Carmel with his wife and three children. He enjoys supporting their multiple educational and community activities and has general interests in sports, home improvement projects, and time spent relaxing with good friends
Erica Burger – Sr. Member Services Associate
Erica graduated from Indiana University with a bachelors degree in Sports Communication and Broadcasting. She served as account executive with the Indiana Pacers before deciding to bring her service and sales experience to the world of healthcare. A veteran member of our staff, Erica has played an invaluable role in helping to set the tone for our team’s commitment to excellence. Her responsibilities include support of daily office operations, IT/EMR administration, and coordinating patient care on behalf of Dr. Priddy.
Cassie Garner – Member Services Associate
Cassie began her career in the medical field as a nurses’ aide after accumulating significant experience in the customer service industry. She graduated from Harrison College in 2011 with a degree in applied health science as a Certified Medical Assistant. In addition to assisting with basic patient clinical care and office phlebotomy, Cassie supports Dr. Veatch and the administrative needs of his patients.
Stacy Hewitt – Member Services Associate
Stacy has been working as a licensed practical nurse for over 20 years, including more than 10 years devoted to family medicine nursing. Her experience has been invaluable in serving the needs of our patients both thoughtfully and efficiently. Stacy’s duties are focused on the administrative support of Dr. Szewczyk and her patients, and include the management of scheduling, coordination of referrals, and insurance pre-certification/prior authorizations on behalf of our patients.
Michele Teters – Front Office Concierge
Michele has worked in multiple professional roles and brings a strong background in sales support, administration and customer service. She is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in Health Information Administration. As our Front Office Concierge, Michele coordinates the phone reception and in-office service experience enjoyed by our patients. She also partners with our staff as needed in support of critical office functions and in the administration of other patient needs.
